We are entering the crucial stage of this year’s Wimbledon. What will the WTA rankings look like after the Grand Slam? There could be a major change at the top.
Fans can’t complain about the lack of surprises at this edition of Wimbledon. Several favourites have said goodbye to grass court competition, including Iga Świątek and Coco Gauff. As a result, there could soon be changes at the top of the WTA rankings.

Elena Rybakina remained in the fight for the prestigious trophy and, in the absence of the aforementioned players, became one of the main candidates to win the London event. If the Kazakh tennis player wins a Grand Slam tournament, she will jump to third place in the rankings, thus 535 points ahead of Aryna Sabalenka, who decided to withdraw from the event before it even started.
However, the world’s top two players can still confirm their position – Svetk, with 11,285 points, and Gauff, who has collected 8,173 points so far.
Jasmine Paolini’s achievement is also noteworthy. After finishing the competition in London, the Italian will reach the seventh place in the world rankings, the highest level of her career.
