Princess Kate attended the men’s final of the Wimbledon tennis tournament on Sunday afternoon, her second public appearance since announcing she had cancer.

The 42-year-old princess was greeted by a standing ovation from the public before the match on Center Court, who gave her a long standing ovation. She greeted the crowd with a smile.
William’s wife, heir to the British throne, was accompanied by their daughter Charlotte, 9, and her sister Pippa Matthews.
She was wearing a long purple dress.

The tennis fan presented the trophy to Spain’s Carlos Algarz after defeating the winner of the tournament, Novak Djokovic of Serbia.
Before the match, he spoke to several British players, including Emma Raduganu, who was eliminated in the round of 16 at Wimbledon.
“It was so hard to see you go,” Kate told him.
“We play a lot as a family,” he added.

It will be the Princess of Wales’ second public appearance since last Christmas.
Kate announced in a video at the end of March that she was taking preventive chemotherapy against the cancer. He did not specify what cancer it was.
She made her first public appearance again on 15 June during King Charles III’s birthday parade.
He then greeted the crowd from the balcony of Buckingham Palace along with the royal family.

Earlier in the day, he announced in a message posted on social networks – his first speech since the announcement of his illness – that he was attending the festive event due to the “good progress” of his treatment.
“As anyone who has undergone chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days,” Kate wrote in the message, noting that her treatment will last “many more months.”
“Knowing that I’m not out of the woods yet, I hope to be able to participate in some public engagements this summer,” he added.
Her husband William, heir to the British throne, will be in Berlin on Sunday evening to attend the Euro soccer final between England and Spain.
