Typhoon Jimmy wreaks havoc in China
Typhoon Gaemi, the third typhoon this year, hit Putian City in eastern China’s Fujian Province on Thursday evening. Its center is currently located near the city of Wuhan in central China.

Global warming increases hurricanes
The storm has already forced the evacuation of 300,000 people in Fujian province and nearly 100,000 in Guangdong province in the south of the country. There have been no official reports of casualties or serious damage so far.
The death toll from floods and landslides caused by Typhoon Gaime, which caused devastation last week, has risen. It rose to eight in Taiwan and 34 in the Philippines.
