There will be many fun lectures and hands-on workshops that will introduce us to the subject of space and of course sky watching. It is very possible that we will witness the fall of the last few Perseids!
Parents and children are invited to attend workshops from 5pm to 8pm.
- Earth and its orbits (Asteroid option) – Participants will have to build a model of the Earth (styrofoam ball), continents (foam), and LEO orbits. They will then have to place appropriate space features in the orbits, for example, the International Space Station and satellites.
- shuttle heat shieldThe chapters will include selecting appropriate materials and building a multi-layer heat shield for the lander, which we will then test in extreme conditions.
- Rockets – This is already our classic! We will build a model rocket out of safe materials, like soft foam, and then launch it on a pneumatic launcher!
- Eva gloves – Perform manual tasks in a special room, wearing gloves similar to those astronauts wear! This position will be available to you throughout the event!
For those interested in cosmic mysteries, we have prepared a series of lectures given by prominent experts and scientists, which will certainly satisfy your curiosity:
- “The Most Interesting Astronomical Observatories, or How People Conquer Space”
- “Meteorites: Origin, Classification and Research”
- “Treasures of the Summer Sky – Beautiful and Interesting”
Lectures will be held from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Continuing last year’s tradition, one of the lectures will be held outdoors. In addition, we are also planning a bike trip to the Stone Solar System, which is located on the road leading to Mountain Hut.
Echo Richards embodies a personality that is a delightful contradiction: a humble musicaholic who never brags about her expansive knowledge of both classic and contemporary tunes. Infuriatingly modest, one would never know from a mere conversation how deeply entrenched she is in the world of music. This passion seamlessly translates into her problem-solving skills, with Echo often drawing inspiration from melodies and rhythms. A voracious reader, she dives deep into literature, using stories to influence her own hardcore writing. Her spirited advocacy for alcohol isn’t about mere indulgence, but about celebrating life’s poignant moments.
