Rush Hour 4 – Will the movie be made but with accused Brett Ratner as director?
The director was accused in 2017 by seven women, including actresses Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge, of inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment. Ratner, then working for Warner Bros., could not count on continuing his career at the studio and has not made any new films since 2014. The man has vehemently denied all the accusations, and to this day no charges have been brought against him in this case.
Ratner would be a potential candidate to direct and produce Rush Hour 4. The Hollywood Reporter reached out to the director, who said that the question about his involvement in the project included “fatal mistakes”.
Warner Bros. has been licensing the fourth installment of Rush Hour for years. Tarak Ben Ammar is still associated with the series and owns the rights to produce the film under his Eagle Pictures banner. Arthur Sarkissian is also involved as a producer.
It is not known whether Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan will reprise their roles. Sources close to the actors have said their involvement is not at all certain. In recent years, the Rush Hour stars have spoken positively about returning to the series.
