Rythme 105.7’s confirmation that Patricia Paquin will be replaced by Maripier Morin on midday radio sparked mixed reactions on social media.
Last Saturday, the launch of the station invited listeners to meet Marie-Ave Janvier with her new co-host Maripier Morin from September 3 at 11:30 am. Under a photo of the two, we learn that the show will keep the same name: Lunch ladies.
The publication generated more than 600 comments, including comments of happiness to see Maripierre Morin join the team, others of disappointment and incomprehension to see Patricia Baguine pressed like this.
“Only greetings are allowed on this page! Every listener is entitled to their opinion, a matter of respect to those who have listened to the show before! I’m so disappointed for Patricia Paquin,” lamented one listener.
One subscriber noted: “You should give the runner a chance. No one is responsible for these changes except the station management. Marie-Pierre and Marie-Eve will embark on a great challenge and adapt… Good luck to you both, looking forward to hearing about your future collaborations.” Looking forward to it. Good luck Patricia!
On her Instagram account, Maripier Morin posted a photo of her baby Henry wearing tiny pajamas with the Rythme logo. “Henry is ready for Tuesday September 3rd and so is mom,” the two-time mom host wrote.

A TikTok video clip shows two new friends getting together and inviting listeners to meet them at the start of the school year. Many subscribers raise the apparent uneasiness that Marie-Ave Janvier seems to inhabit.
We will have to wait until September 3rd to see if the chemistry between Maripier Morin and Marie-eve Janvier will work. The latter is a good friend of Patricia Baku, with whom he co-hosts Lunch ladies. Hours before their return to the air last week, Patricia Paquin learned she was fired from the station.

On social networks, the former presenter has received real love from her colleagues and the public, as she announced her forced exit from radio.

At Cogeco, dramatic events have been piling up for months. Last in line: the announcement of President Caroline Paquette’s replacement by Martin Spaulding, then the about-face at Cokeco that finally decided not to hire the former Bell Media executive. We still don’t know the identity of the person who will be after Caroline’s pocket.
