After his starring performance in the Metz, Hubert Hurkacz was right to feel completely satisfied. The Polish tennis player beat gold medalist from Tokyo, Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta in the final, and could celebrate another ATP tournament in his career. Thanks to the victory, he was able to climb to 12th place in the rating of the best tennis players in the world.
In the first match of the upcoming tournament, Hurkacz had to face Alex Bolt, a player who had reached this stage thanks to qualifying. The Australian is ranked 144th in the ATP rankings, so there can only be one favorite player in the match, especially given the great shape of the pole.
ATP in San Diego. Hubert Hurkacz in the second round
The first set turned out to be very fierce, but in the end it was won by Hubert Hurkacz, who won the tiebreak 7-2 and the whole set 7:6.
The second set was much easier to pole. Hurkacz only allowed Bolt to win one match and he could already consider a duel with Aslan Karagio in the second round of the tournament. The Russian is a much tougher opponent than Bolt, so you can expect a more difficult challenge and test for the Polish tennis player.
