Former Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt has published a book called “Blondinens betragtninger” (Ideas of Blondes – editor), which appeared in bookstores in October. He wrote in his book: “He was sitting next to me, grabbed my thigh from under the table … I changed.” As she emphasized, this situation would be classified as sexual harassment today, but that was not the case at the time.

– Those were different times, but even then I thought it was a mistake and the whole situation was angry – she said in an interview with “the local”.

Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, a controversial figure in French politics

Giscard d’Estaing was president of France from 1974 to 1981. He passed away last December at the age of 94 due to Covid-19. During his reign, he allowed, among other things, consensual divorce and legalized abortion.

The politician had previously been accused of harassing, among other things, the German journalist Anne-Catherine Strack. The woman said publicly that he touched her inappropriately three times during the interview.
