During Saturday’s Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias show, many spectators were involved in dancing, singing and removing masks.

Meanwhile, bars, clubs and nightclubs have been suffocating for months because dancing is banned, masks are mandatory and their effectiveness is limited to 50%.

“When we saw [les images], We were very surprised, explained in an interview with TVA Nouvelles Mathieu Drapeau, owner of the Unity Club. We have been taking drastic measures for about two years. When we were able to reopen, the world could not dance, they had to sit in their place … The Bell Center opened very quickly without being measured, it was a complete shock to us, ”said the owner.

The Bell Center organization revealed in an interview Quebec Morning On Tuesday morning, although deviations were noted during the show, anyone moving in the amphitheater was required to wear a mask, and the action was applied.

However, bar owners consider the situation unfair.

“We had a degree, we still have obstacles, we can’t do anything else,” Mr Trobo denounced.

“Ridiculous”

Special Situation: Visitors to the Bell Center found themselves after the show at Unity, managed by the Matthew Trophy, and complained that they could not party or dance as they did at the Bell Center.

Some customers come home after midnight and ask why they can’t dance here. Trying to explain this to the customer is completely absurd! It weighs two, two sizes! There were 15,000 people in one amphitheater!

Health Minister Christian Dube, who was questioned on the matter, announced that the Bell Center should tighten measures and ensure implementation. “If the health condition improves, relief will be available,” he said while visiting the Outus region on Tuesday.

Montreal mayoral candidate Denise Goderre, for her part, believes more honesty is needed.

“I want restaurants to do the same. If we can increase the capacity of concerts, restaurants deserve it, but all of this has to be done responsibly,” he told a news conference.

However, the latter is not misunderstood by the health rules that are not always respected at the Bell Center.

“You have to be responsible. I imagine the people who were there were double-vaccinated anyway. It must mean something. I imagine if everyone was vaccinated, there would be fewer problems, but this kind of question should be answered by the authorities,” Mr Goderre said.
