For visitors, their stay not only inspires activities to add to their list, but also culinary inventions. They’ll find everything you need to plan a dream trip to Panama! They both take great delight in following the co-hosts in their madness. Despite being over forty years old, both of them definitely keep their childish hearts… beautiful to see! What do they have in store for us next episode?

Dave is living the dream

The show begins on a sunny day, with vacationers boarding a boat. Although the early morning (35°C) heat is already oppressive, nothing can stop you from getting into the day’s action. And for good reason: The former hockey player will realize a fantasy like maneuvering a sailboat. However, Philip doubts his friend’s ability. “You are very fast. Managing a sailboat… I can’t wait to see it! (Laughs),” he quips. After two hours of transit, they finally arrive at Las Perlas Archipelago, a majestic landscape of over 200 islands and volcanic islets.

Harder than it looks!

The two are excited to meet Martha, the friendly owner of a sailing school. The instructor teaches them how to steer a catamaran. Dave is a model student, while Philip likes to be a prankster. Despite everything, he proves to be skilled and in some cases surpasses his friend, especially in the art of knot tying. “I realize it’s more technical than I thought,” says Dave, undeterred. Then, the trainee sailors are ready to dive. As the gentle breeze moves the boat slowly, the trio have a chance to observe dolphins. A rare occurrence, according to Martha. After a few minutes, the wind disappears, and the catamaran doesn’t move more than an inch. Co-hosts worry: How will they get back to dry land?

Good food for the soul

At the end of the day, the two leave to meet the surrounding community. Martha’s neighbor, Delis, prepares a feast of local flavors for the two hungry men, including chicken, fish, beans, and salads. Dave and Philip took the opportunity to chat with the chef and his children and their instructor to learn more about their personal journey. To finish this hearty meal, what better than a fresh coconut? Two Quebecers admire a Panamanian who climbs to the top of a coconut tree to harvest the fruit! Dave tries to follow him, but quickly realizes that he lacks the necessary skills, which of course makes his traveling companion laugh! The show ends with another boat ride back to their hotel. Tired Dave and Philip are happy to be back in bed! Get me out of here! …but not immediate A series full of sunshine and laughs, a must watch escape from everyday life.
