Professor Ph.D. Medicine Jerzy Wardlicek is a prominent and recognized scientist who holds the academic title of Professor of Medical Sciences. His scientific achievements include more than 400 scientific publications in the field of medicine. He is the editor or co-editor of several academic textbooks. Professor Ph.D. Dr. Jerzy Wardleczek has been working at the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Medicum for several decades.
He has extensive experience in performing administrative and managerial tasks, whether at the university or in other bodies. In 1993, he took over the directorship of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the First Department of General Surgery at the Jagiellonian University Faculty of Medicine. In 2003, he became Head of the Leading University Clinic for Pain Management and Palliative Care, and since 2012 he has headed the Interdisciplinary Intensive Care Clinic at the Jagiellonian University Faculty of Medicine and the Clinical Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the University Hospital in Kraków. . Furthermore, in the years 2005-2008, he also served as Rector Plenipotentiary of the Jagiellonian University of Science and Higher Education at the Collegium Medicum and as a member of the Standing Senate Committee on Financing of Scientific Research and International Cooperation.
