(Montreal) A man will face justice after driving his van into a Montreal business.
At 2:30 a.m. Saturday, a call came in to 911, which told emergency services what had happened at Boulevard Henry-Brass Raza Est, in the River-des field, near Ru Renat-Lapoint.
According to initial reports, the van was heading north, at the intersection of Ru Renat-Lapoint and Boulevard Henry-Brass Raza, in traffic light, as the vehicle advanced straight to finish its race against the commercial building. The front door, ”said Carolyn Chevrobles, spokeswoman for the Service de la Ville de Montreal (SPVM).
The latter did not specify which trade it was, but noted that the damage was mainly located within the trade.
As for the driver, a 33-year-old man did not appear to have been injured when he was found by police who arrived at the scene.
“He walked to the crossroads.” He had no apparent injuries, but appeared to be intoxicated, ”an SPVM spokesman admitted.
“Police arrested him for driving with weak abilities. He was taken to a detention center to be subjected to a pretreatment test,” Agent Chevrobles said.
So the driver may face charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
