A second, stronger wave of snowfall is expected in Bielsko-Biawa this afternoon. According to IMGW, up to 30 cm of snow could fall by Saturday morning. A severe weather alert has been issued for our area.
The warning is valid from 15.00 on Friday until 10.00 on Saturday. At this time, rains of moderate intensity are expected, with strong periods causing an increase in snow cover of 20 to 30 cm.
Storm hunters in Podbeskidzie also warn of rain. – A second wave of rain will arrive on Friday afternoon, this time stronger. Moderate to heavy rain will continue into Saturday morning, then become lighter. 20 cm of fresh snow may fall in some places, up to 40 cm in the mountains.
The Municipal Police Headquarters reports that over the past 24 hours, 17 accidents occurred in Bielsko-Biała and the Bielsko region. Officers urge caution as winter conditions call for extra caution.
