The tunnel will be a key element of the so-called Y, the planned high-speed railway route between Warsaw, CPK, Lodz, Wrocław and Poznań. “This is a very important investment that will impact the operation of Polish railways, as well as being an important step in the implementation of the 100-minute Poland project,” Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak said in the statement.
The tunnel will be excavated with a TBM mechanical shield with a diameter of about 14 meters. It will be about 4.6 km long. There will be two tracks inside, allowing trains to run in both directions.”This will be the longest and largest underground railway crossing built using this method in Poland so far.“- said Philip Cherniki, head of the Kurdistan Communist Party.
The contractor will complete the order for 46 months from the date of signing the contract. Trains travelling on railway line No. 85 from Warsaw will enter the tunnel from the Łódź Fabryczna station. The tunnel exit to the surface will be southwest of Łódź Kaliska.

CPK noted that it has so far signed two of three major contracts relating to the city of Łódź. The first is an agreement to strengthen the foundations of the Łódź Cultural Centre (ŁDK); work is already in progress. The second is a contract for the construction of rooms: the Starting Room in Retkenia (work is already underway) and the Reception Room in Fabryczyna.
The CPK programme should include, among other things: a central airport between Warsaw and Łódź, and a high-speed railway system. The estimated investment cost until 2032 is PLN 131.7 billion.
Lodz is a city of tunnels.
The next high-speed railway tunnel will be under Łódź. Machines are boring a total of four single-track tunnels there. “Regional and long-distance trains will run through the centre of Łódź: on the east-west axis (via Łódź Wiedziew, Fabricyń and Kaliszka stations) and on the north-south axis (via Łódź Wiedziew, Fabricyń and Zabyniec stations), ”PKP PLK informs.
“The train journey across the city between the current stations will be shorter. The number and frequency of trains will increase. Three underground stations will facilitate movement around the city because they will be integrated with public transport,” we read further.
Echo Richards embodies a personality that is a delightful contradiction: a humble musicaholic who never brags about her expansive knowledge of both classic and contemporary tunes. Infuriatingly modest, one would never know from a mere conversation how deeply entrenched she is in the world of music. This passion seamlessly translates into her problem-solving skills, with Echo often drawing inspiration from melodies and rhythms. A voracious reader, she dives deep into literature, using stories to influence her own hardcore writing. Her spirited advocacy for alcohol isn’t about mere indulgence, but about celebrating life’s poignant moments.
