In a moving post on Instagram, Marie-Annique Lepin admitted missing “the worst drivers and co-drivers in the history of motoring,” including her late husband Carl Tremblay.

The violinist from Cowboys Fringeants presents the last show of the summer on Saturday, Festip! Boy-Saint-Paul. The intimate concert came just hours after a surprise tribute to Carl Tremblay, featuring Emile Bilodeau, Mara Tremblay and Yves Lambert.

Always open on social networks, Marie-Annique Lepin told her subscribers that she found the road between Sherbrooke and Boy-Saint-Paul, where her previous show took place, in the absence of her partners.

He says that Jean-François Pauzé’s lack of time and Carl Tremblay’s rough sense of direction added spice to their countless trips on the road.

“I traveled more than two hundred kilometers with a heavy heart. (…) [J-F] Invariably he was at least thirty minutes late… he would arrive at the race and leave so early, not knowing exactly which route to take. Here comes Carl, the worst co-pilot in history! Carl made us go out one or two exits early or worse, forgot to tell his pilot in a hurry and distracted when we needed to change course.

Respect traditions

Marie-Annique Lepine responded to Cowboys fans on Facebook during these trips, saying they were “a dysfunctional team, but managed to entertain you for over a quarter of a century.”

Alone on the road, she wanted to honor certain traditions road trip of the group that published the opus Pub Royal Last April.

“During my journey, I decided to observe some rituals. A few minutes of silence as our ears were shattered by the loud noise on the Cowboys stage. Play some quiet background music. Above all, stop and pee on the side of the highway.

Repentignoise was very grateful for the public’s reaction during his performance in Baie-Saint-Paul before going on holiday with his daughters.

“In short, it was my last show of the summer, yesterday, at Festip. An unforgettable, magical show. Made you laugh, sing and cry. That’s what music is for. I’ll remember it for a long time. I’m grateful and very proud of myself.”
