Six-core, twelve-thread processors are the most popular configuration today for decent gaming and software performance, with relative peace of mind in the near future. AMD Ryzen 5 7600X follows the path of its predecessors, without changing anything in the current situation. Intel, starting with the Alder Lake generation, has added more cores to the Core i5-12600K, and in the next few days it will literally raise the rate on the Core i5-13600K. We’ll check which one will be more efficient in a moment! How does the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X handle the competition? Or is it worth waiting for Raptor Lake to debut? Feel free to review the weakest processor in the Zen 4 family…

Treatments AMD Ryzen 7000 Known as Raphael, the next step in the development of Zen architecture is the introduction of the new AM5 platform (LGA1718) with DDR5 and PCI-Express 5.0 support. The cores were made in a 5 nm process (previously 7 nm), while the I/O containing the remaining elements uses 6 nm (previously 12 nm) lithography. Another fundamental change is the addition of an integrated Radeon graphics chip based on the RDNA 2 architecture, which was completely devoid of its predecessors except for the G / PRO series. The architecture of the processors themselves has not changed significantly – CCDs with up to eight cores are still used, all connected to the internal Infinity Fabric bus. The separate clock domains of RAM, IMC and IF also work stably, but synchronous mode (1:1) would be possible even with DDR5-6000 MHz (Intel Alder Lake needs 1:2 here). AMD announces an additional 30% increase in IPC over its predecessors due to front-end rebuilding, request queue expansion, L2 cache doubling, optimization of FP32 operations, decoders, and AVX-512 instructions. High clock speeds of up to 5850MHz on a single core (at suitable temperatures) also contribute significantly to improved performance.
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X is the weakest model in the Zen 4 family, having 6 cores and supporting 12 threads. Will it be faster than the Intel Core i5-12600K as well as the upcoming Intel Core i5-13600K?
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor test – the new king of performance? Zen 4 geometry rules in software, but in games…
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X uses a single respected CCD complete layout Two physical cores were stripped apart. SMT technology provides support for 12 threads simultaneously. Since the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X, the basic configuration looks the same. The reviewed model also has a memory of 32 MB, the capacity of which is directly related to the presence of one CCD module. The competition turned out to be more advanced here, because Intel Core i5-12600K It uses a hybrid architecture, i.e. six large cores (P-Core) and four small cores (E-Core), the former of which additionally supports HT. In total, we get 10 cores and 16 threads. Sometimes it matters, sometimes almost nothing, but you have to remember that the Intel Core i5-13600K will add E-Core, which will result in 20 threads. The premiere will be held on October 20. In the case of the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, the factory clock speeds are quite high, which, according to the manufacturer, can reach 5300MHz, although in reality it is much higher (it scored 5550MHz).

AMD Ryzen 5 7600X requires the creation of an entirely new platform – AM5 – which includes motherboards with 600 chipsets and DDR5 memory. The integrated RAM controller supports only the latest standard, therefore, unlike competing solutions, we must completely forget about the use of cheaper DDR4. Officially, the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X supports modules clocked at 5200MHz, but the synchronous mode (1:1) should run at at least 6000MHz. At the same time, the PCI-Express 5.0 interface was introduced, so the AM5 platform is considered very suitable for the future and will be developed until 2025. It is also worth noting that each processor in the AMD Ryzen 7000 family has an integrated Radeon graphics chip using the RDNA2 architecture. It was housed in a separate I/O unit with the other controllers. If you are not planning on an external GPU, and your needs are basic, then this iGPU is sufficient for everyday applications. AMD Ryzen 5 7600X also has an unlocked multiplier, which allows you to freely overclock. The suggested price (MSRP) for the tested model is $299, which is the same as the previous price, but at the current exchange rate it won’t come cheap.
