When the AMD Ryzen 7000 processors first appeared (September 2022), based on the Zen 4 microarchitecture, we initially received systems without support for 3D V-Cache packaging technology. Only in January 2023, the manufacturer officially unveiled the Ryzen 7000X3D models, which use 3D V-Cache. The most powerful units are equipped with a maximum of 144 MB of combined L2 and L3 cache. What will the specifications of the upcoming Ryzen 9000X3D processors look like? Everything indicates that AMD will not decide to make any radical changes, at least in terms of dry specifications.
New information about AMD Ryzen 9000 processors with 3D V-Cache has surfaced online. Three systems will be available: Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Ryzen 9 9900X3D, and Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
AMD Ryzen 9000 processors will offer better memory controllers and native support for fast DDR5 RAM
New information has surfaced online about the AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors, which are now expected to debut somewhere around the premiere of competing Intel Arrow Lake-S systems (and also around the debut of motherboards with AMD X870E and X870 chipsets). It seems that in terms of additional L3 cache capacity, we will not receive any changes compared to the previous generation. This means that both the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D will receive 128 MB of L3 cache (64 MB + additional layer with another 64 MB L3 cache). In contrast, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D will receive a total of 96 MB of L3 cache (32 MB base plus an additional 64 MB of 3D V-Cache layer).

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X tested under AIDA64 benchmark. You can count on a significant increase in efficiency
All AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors will receive full overclocking support, but information about base and Turbo clocks remains unknown at the moment. AMD itself has already revealed that despite similar theoretical specifications, 3D V-Cache will undergo some modifications compared to previous generations. One of the changes is the aforementioned full support for third-party liability insurance. We will find out closer to the actual release if there are any other changes that affect gaming performance.
