An alcohol factory near Toruń has gone bankrupt. All employees will be fired.

Bioethanol AEG, based in May. Bydgoska in Chełmża, was founded in 1947 as part of the Chełmża sugar factory. Since 2006, it has been operating under its current name, supplying ethyl alcohol and chemical products based on it to dozens of contractors in Poland and Europe.

The company’s collapse was closed by a decision of the District Court in Torun in May this year, After declaring bankruptcy last MarchAs CEO Krzysztof Grabowski admitted, the reason for the bankruptcy was the price disruption in the market and the high fine imposed by the state-controlled company (4.4 million Polish zlotys).
