Another university in Poznań has started recruiting.  There are two new trends

“Poznań University of Life Sciences meets the challenges of the modern world by offering study areas that equip students with the necessary competencies for future careers – climate protection engineering, food technology and human nutrition, furniture design, applied biology, biotechnology, environmental energy, and horticulture, in total… 25 innovative, future-oriented fields of study await this year’s nominees, including two new fields – Food Design and Agritourism.” informed Iwona Cieślik, spokeswoman for the University of Life Sciences in Poznań.

A new trend in food design. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity to acquire the necessary competencies that will not only allow to create innovative products, but also to influence the way society consumes food. “A graduate of the new food design field of study will be innovative and ready to take on the challenges of the modern food industry. “You will gain not only solid theoretical knowledge, but also the practical skills needed to analyze and solve real problems in food systems, natural resources and living environments” – Dr. Habb explains. Róża Biegańska-Marecik from the Faculty of Food Sciences and Nutrition of the University of Applied Sciences.

The agritourism study program combines theory and practice perfectly, allowing you to gain comprehensive knowledge in the field of agriculture, horticulture, economics and management.

After graduation, agritourism graduates will not only have general knowledge in the field of natural, social and economic sciences, but will also acquire the necessary skills to organize entertainment for guests from Poland and abroad. They will acquire the necessary competencies to create unique tourism offers in rural areas, under changing social and economic conditions. – explains the professor. Ph.D. UPP. Zuzana Sawinska, Deputy Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture and Biotechnology, where the course will be offered from October. “In addition, they will be ready to face challenges related to climate change, which will allow them to build a tourism product, taking into account adaptation to current climatic and economic conditions.“- adds the Vice Dean.
