Xawery Żuławski would like to present his vision of an apocalypse of bloodthirsty zombies. Let’s check out the trailer for “Apokawixa,” which reveals the basic plot assumptions. Here, a dark vision of the apocalypse will be mixed with unusual humor.
On October 7, a new production directed by Xawery Żuławski will be shown in theaters, author of such paintings as “The Polish-Russian War”, “Thaw”, “Bird Talk”, “Diagnosis” or “Agata’s Law”. On September 13, the results of the work of the TVN Warner Bros. team appeared. Discovery will be available to participants of the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia – during the event, the comedy will have the opportunity to compete for the Golden Lion award.
So what is Apokawixa? It is a bleak vision of the world where nature, after years of neglect on the part of the human race, has decided to respond with … a new epidemic. The group of high school graduates will have to face the greatest threat that has erupted at the most unexpected moment – when their “mix of life” is in full swing.
“Sometimes dungeon is not the worst that can happen to you…” Apokawixa is the story of a group of high school graduates who are fed up with back-to-back lockdowns – they decide to organize a beachside ‘mix of life’. Despite the high concentration of cyanobacteria in the Baltic Sea and strange infections, everything goes normally at first – beach, dance, sex, drinking, love and disappointment. But minute by minute, the whole thing starts to spiral out of control. In the middle of the party, a zombie epidemic spreads. Heroes must fight for their lives.
The cast of “Apokawixa” includes promising actors of the younger generation of actors, such as Mikołaj Kubacki, Natalia Pitry, Waleria Gorobets, Mariusz Urbaniec, Alicja Wieniawa-Narkiewicz, Aleksander Kaleta, Mikołaj Matczak, Monika Mikołajczakzak and experienced Polish artists – O Tomasz Kot, Cezary Pazura, Matylda Damięcka, and Sebastian Fabijański. The trio is responsible for the script: Krzysztof Bernas, Maciej Kazula and Xawery Żuławski.
