New rules for credit holidays The Council of Ministers did not approve it on Tuesday. “Work and analyzes for this project are still ongoing.” – Report to the government information center.
“Poles currently bear the highest costs for housing loans in all of Europe. We pay higher interest not only than Germans, French and Spaniards, but also citizens of countries of our region – Czechs, Slovaks and Bulgarians. The reason is not only the Polish currency and related risks of financial markets, but also the design Improper banking products, lack of real competition in the banking products market and negligence on the part of financial supervision of banks,” we read in a letter from the Stop Bank Chaos Association addressed to the Prime Minister.
During the meeting with the Prime Minister requested by the authors of the letter, they want to discuss, among other things: the issue of the legal dispute over the WIBOR index.
“It is unacceptable that the banking sector took advantage of the non-compliance of the WIBOR index with the BMR directives to obtain the highest results in history and at the same time exert pressure for the cancellation of loan moratoriums, which were the only real relief in the costs of Polish households making the most expensive mortgage payments in Europe.” “We read.
Credit holidays “a new way”
The changes to the loan holiday program are intended to cover two main issues. The first relates to the maximum loan amount. This will amount to PLN 1.2 million. In the case of higher loans, the exemption will not apply.
The second major change is the RdD indicator, i.e. “premium to income”. This is a new solution, as the previous program did not have any criteria for income or assets. The minimum RdD must be 35%, meaning that only customers with mortgage repayments above 35% can take advantage of the holiday. Monthly income.
The Ministry of Finance estimates that the cost of extending credit holidays will reach PLN 2.5 billion – assuming that a similar proportion of eligible people will benefit from them as in the case of credit holidays in 2023.

Infuriatingly modest, one would never know from a mere conversation how deeply entrenched she is in the world of music. This passion seamlessly translates into her problem-solving skills, with Echo often drawing inspiration from melodies and rhythms. A voracious reader, she dives deep into literature, using stories to influence her own hardcore writing.
