Apple introduces iPhone SE 2022. There is a powerful processor. But the design is straight from the previous decade

We are after the conference in which an Apple Show a bunch of news with an apple on the cover. The Americans presented, inter alia, the Pada Air with the M1 chip and support 5, new the computer Mac studio for special tasks, observer Studio offer (for which we will be able to buy a cable for 700 PLN) and the next 3rd generation Iphone‘a SE. The last product aroused the greatest feelings among consumers.

Apple introduces the new iPhone SE in the old housing

Looking at the press photos of the iPhone SE 2022, you might be wondering if the graphics really depict the new equipment. At first glance, this phone is not at all different from its predecessor from 2020 and many Apple phones from years ago.

It looks as if Apple has just packed the new smartphone in a case removed from stock, which has been around for a good five years. Then it was introduced in 2017. iPhone X, which was Apple’s first device with slim bezels around the screen and the rounded edges of the screen.

So we have a huge unused area around the screen, a circular design, a “soap dish” (Apple calls it an icon), a physical button with Touch ID under the screen and one small camera eye on the back. The iPhone 6, 7, and 8 from 2014, 2016, and 2017, looked almost the same (with the exception of the iPhone SE 2020).

Changes are not on the outside, but on the inside

What is not visible at first glance is hidden inside. Apple has already updated the specifications of the new iPhone SE with the very powerful A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13 that came out last year. You can doubt that this processor will be the most powerful component of the iPhone SE.

Apart from that, the specs are no different from its predecessor presented two years ago. Retina display with a diagonal of 4.7 inches and a primary resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels, the camera is only one and it is a 12-megapixel matrix with a wide-angle lens with f / 1.8 aperture with optical image stabilization.

There’s also the already mentioned button with Touch ID for fingerprint unlock, 5G support, which is already standard on this shelf, an inductive charging option and a locked housing confirmed with IP67 certification.

Traditionally, Apple has not boasted information about the amount of RAM and battery capacity. It is only known that the 20W charger charges the smartphone up to 50 percent. In 30 minutes.

Prices for the new iPhone SE? Long but tolerable

The new iPhone SE will be available in three memory versions, which, of course, differ in price:

• iPhone SE 64 GB – PLN 2299
• iPhone SE 128 GB – PLN 2549
• iPhone SE 256 GB – 3049 PLN

So it’s not cheap, especially when we talk about the option with the largest memory available. On the other hand price The cheapest model is attractive considering the offered specifications. The new iPhone will be available in Poland from March 18th. Pre-sale starts March 11th on the 14th.
