Apple iPhone 15 – The smartphone series has fallen by almost 24% in half a year. The company's equipment is no longer an investment for years

Apple smartphones are often chosen not only due to personal preferences, but also due to the fact that the devices maintain their price for a long time. So, when the next generation is released, the user can make the change at low cost – or at least that's the case so far. Despite the impressive sales results, it turned out that prices for the current Series (15) had fallen by approximately 24% just half a year after the premiere. The prevailing opinion needs a little updating.

Apple's latest iPhone 15 series of smartphones has been with us for half a year now. Its sales in 2023 reached record levels, thanks to which the devices were included in the rating of the ten best-selling smartphones on the market. However, in a short time, their prices dropped significantly.

Of course, the fact that smartphones became cheaper a few months after their debut is not particularly groundbreaking, but in the case of Apple devices, the situation has usually been a little different. As we mentioned in the introduction: buyers can count on a very low price drop, even after a long period, so smartphones can be treated as a small investment. The current Apple iPhone 15 series debuted in September 2023, and the cheapest model costs PLN 4,699. We can now easily buy it for PLN 3,578, which represents a price drop of approximately 24%. The “Plus” version was initially offered for 5299 PLN, today it is 4248 PLN. Similar changes also affected Apple's more expensive iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, where discounts reach 19% on average. Certainly, this development of events was not expected by users.

It is also worth taking a look at the Apple iPhone 14 series that has been on the market since September 2022. In this case, the basic version was sold on the day of the premiere for 5,199 PLN, and we can currently buy it for 2,899 PLN, that is, more than 44% cheaper . Later models also received very significant discounts: the Plus version dropped from 5899 PLN to 3646 PLN, and the Pro variant from 6499 PLN to 4639 PLN. The first item is therefore offered for approximately 40% less, while the second item enjoys a discount of approximately 30%. The richest version of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max started with the same amount as the current generation, and now its prices in many stores start from PLN 5,299. Only the situation of foldable Samsung smartphones from a similar period is worse, after all, prices for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 series started in August 2022 from 5149 PLN, and now we can buy the 8/128 GB version for 2465 PLN, which is more than half the price. .
