AC Milan may have new owners soon. Reuters reported that the Bahraini company, Investcorp, which is offering one billion euros, made an offer in this regard.
The Italian giant has been in the hands of Elliott Management Corporation since 2018. However, the Americans did not manage to return the Milan team to the top of the Italian league – this season is the closest to it in years, still taking first place in the table.
However, the situation is uncertain and there is more and more talk that the aforementioned company will eventually decide to sell. There will be many willing, as evidenced by the latest reports published by “Reuters”.
AC Milan wants to acquire Bahrain’s Investcorp, which deals, among other things, with real estate, infrastructure and credit management. The company manages assets with a total value of 42 billion euros.
Part of this amount can be allocated to the acquisition of “Rossonerich”. The bid is expected to be around 1 billion euros.
For now, AC Milan is avoiding official comment on the reported reports.
– Milan continues to focus on improving its performance on the pitch and on the continued development of the club – The press spokesman for the Italians said, quoting “Reuters”.
In recent years, more and more Italian teams have found their way into the hands of foreign investors, including from the East. An example is Inter, which is owned by the Chinese company Suning Holdings Group.
