The Flash series and the story of the Arrowverse
“Flash” was the first spin-off of the “Arrow” series, thus starting an entire television world based on DC comics. In 2015, the song Supergirl appeared (which was originally broadcast on another station), and it ended in 2021. In 2016, the movie “Legends of Tomorrow” premiered (it ran until this year). The next series that are included in the Arrowverse are: “Black Lightning” (2018-2021) and “Batwoman” (2019-2022).
The series “Flash” takes place mainly in Central City. The title character is Barry Allen, always played by Grant Gustin.
Originally, season 8 of “The Flash” seemed to be the last. However, they managed to convince Justin and Candice Patton to sign another contract. The series’ eighth season was among the CW’s most-watched shows in 2021/22.
The ninth season will consist of 13 episodes. The premiere is planned for the middle of next year.
