Astronauts test the lunar elevator of a SpaceX rocket

The plan assumes that during the Artemis 3 mission, The astronauts will fly into Earth's orbit aboard the Orion capsulelocated on top of the Space Launch System rocket, will then transfer to a SpaceX Starship rocket and land on the surface of our planet's natural satellite.

As NASA explains, after a successful landing, the astronauts will have to do this Move from the rocket to the surface using a special elevator. This device has just been tested at SpaceX's facility in Hawthorne, California. Targeted tests will also be conducted at Cape Canaveral in Florida. The elevator will be used to transport people and equipment in both directions.
