Beverly Hills Cop 4 has a new boss.  The implementation will be funded by Netflix
We already know who will be behind the camera for the fourth installment of the Beverly Hills Cop series. According to Deadline’s website, Mark Molloy, who will be making his full debut, has secured the director position.

Beverly Hills Cop is back on screens

The director has so far worked mainly in the advertising industry. Hollywood has attracted attention thanks to a series of websites dedicated to Apple. Remember, “Beverly Hills Cop 4” was to be directed by Adel Elaraby and Bilal Falah (Bad Boys for Life). In the end, the gentlemen chose the comic book adaptations under the Disney + (“Ms Marvel”) and HBO Max (“Batgirl”) brands.

It is not yet known when he will start working on the set of “Beverly Hills Cop 4”. The movie is still under development. Of course, Eddie Murphy will return to the main role, and Jerry Bruckheimer will be the producer, who has been supervising the course from the start. The production is funded by Netflix, which acquired the rights to the series from Paramount in 2019.

The original “Beverly Hills Cop” dates back to 1984 and has so far had two sequel versions, in 1987 and 1994. The hero of the crime comedy series is Axel Foley, a cop who moves from Detroit to Beverly Hills in order to solve the mystery of his friend’s death. While he doesn’t always adhere to regulations, his unconventional methods of work are surprisingly effective.
