Biden’s tough statement. Donations “exploded”

I am in the race and we will win. (…) It is time to stop treating politics like entertainment or a reality show. President Joe Biden said at a rally in Detroit. The Michigan city is known as “Motor City” because of the Ford, General Motors and Chrysler auto plants there.

Supporters of the current president gathered at a rally in Detroit, holding up signs reading “Motown is Gotown” and chanting “Don’t leave.”

Biden attacks Trump

President Biden criticized the Republican “Oath 2025 Project” during his speech. Biden sees this as “the single greatest assault on our system of government and our individual freedom.”“It has never been proposed in the history of this country,” run and funded by Donald Trump’s people.

NBS News explains that Project 2025 is a 900-page policy action plan developed by Trump supporters and former administration officials, including Paul Dance and Spencer Chretien.

The plan would involve personnel changes in the current administration, replacing current federal employees with people loyal to Trump’s vision, radically changing the tax code and imposing restrictions on abortion. The project is led by the Heritage Foundation and supported by dozens of conservative groups, NBC News reports.

In an NPR/PBS/Marist poll conducted Friday, 16 percent of voters gave the document a positive rating, while 42 percent gave it a negative rating.

They still rely on Biden.

During the march, NBC News reported. Some Biden supporters have expressed frustration at attempts to remove the incumbent president from the race. By some Democrats. In their view, this weakens the party and works to the advantage of his political opponent, Donald Trump.

Among those who want Biden to go, Michigan Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist has criticized him. “Some people enjoy going on TV and talking crap about our president,” he said. Two prominent Democrats — Rep. James Clyburn and California Gov. Gavin Newsom — said Friday that Biden should stay in the White House race.

Biden campaign spokesman Michael Tyler estimated that during Biden’s press conference on Thursday evening. Donations to the current president’s campaign fund have “exploded,” reaching levels seven times higher than usual.

We have a problem with “swing states.”

An NPR/PBS poll released Friday showed Biden leading Trump 50-48 percent, a slight increase from the poll taken before the June 27 presidential debate. However, Reuters notes that since then, at least 19 Democratic lawmakers have called on Biden to step down. Democrats could then choose a different nominee.

Some analysts suggest that Biden is losing ground in many of the “swing states” that will determine the outcome of the November election. “If current trends continue, Trump could achieve one of the most decisive presidential victories since 2008,” Democratic strategist Doug Sosnick predicted in The New York Times.
