This information has sparked speculation among fans – does this mean a direct collaboration with Nintendo, or rather the involvement of experienced developers specializing in games for the company’s consoles?
The news about Project M coincided with a mysterious teaser from Nintendo for something called “Emio.” Fans immediately began speculating whether or not the two projects were related. There’s been no official confirmation yet.
Bloober Team has made a name for itself in the horror genre over the past decade, creating titles like Layers of Fear, Observer, Blair Witch, and The Medium. The studio is currently working on the long-awaited remake of Silent Hill 2 in collaboration with Konami.
While Project M details are still vague, the announcement of the game for Nintendo platforms is interesting. Bloober Team has so far focused primarily on PC and consoles from Sony and Microsoft, so entering the “Big N market” could mean a new chapter in the studio’s history.
