Bob Lee is dead.  The mysterious murder of a millionaire in San Francisco

The tragedy occurred on Tuesday when the police found a 43-year-old man with stab wounds and treated him before he died in hospital. The businessman’s father, Rick Lee, identified his son’s body.

Citing CCTV footage, the local San Francisco Standard newspaper reported that the injured businessman called for help on a narrow street. BBC News reported: “Lee stumbled as he walked towards a stopped car and lifted his shirt to reveal the wound, but the driver of the car drove off before the businessman fell to the ground.”

Police found Lee unconscious in the Rincon Hill area with two stab wounds in the chest and began administering first aid. Unfortunately, the 43-year-old could not be saved. “I just lost my best son Bob Lee when he died on a San Francisco street,” his father wrote on Facebook.

According to CBS News, Bob Lee lived in Miami, Florida, but visited San Francisco for work reasons and to meet friends. As Tim Oliver Lee, the brother of the murdered man, wrote on Facebook: “He was really the best of us. I was lucky to have grown up with him and feel like I lost a part of myself.”

At the time of his death, Lee was the product manager for cryptocurrency company MobileCoin. “He was a generous and respectful man who did not deserve to die,” tweeted Bill Barhit, CEO of cryptocurrency firm Abra, which Lee also founded.

Cash App is a smartphone payment application that allows money transfer between users. According to Forbes, the startup is currently worth $40 billion and the app has more than 30 million users.
