Box Office USA: Tired of Heroes? “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” opens the cinematic summer
Summer has officially begun in US cinemas. The highest-grossing Marvel show opened the season Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. And although there is no sensation, there is no question of an exciting start.

It would be a sensation to open less than $100 million. you did not. According to current estimates Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 They can count on $114 million. While this is a significant amount, for many it will be disappointing. Since 2002, when “Spider Man” Sony was the first film to gross at least $100 million for a summer season opener, The Score Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 It is one of the lowest debuts at the beginning of the summer.

What’s more, it’s not the best opening this year. And even among the MCU titles, its opening is below average. Sixteen Marvel films had better openings, including the sequel “Guardians of the Galaxy” ($146.5 million).

Fortunately for Disney, the news from around the world is much better. Outside the US, the show can expect an opening above expectations (more in the news tomorrow).

Despite the result Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 Seeming as yet another sign of audience fatigue with superhero movies, it doesn’t mean that other studios will have an easy task convincing Americans to give their titles a shot. Its budget was only $9 million. So Sony won’t lose much on the movie.
