Britney Spears opened up about what she’s been through for the past 14 years in posts on Instagram Sunday night, suggesting that Jennifer Lopez would never have been subjected to such treatment.

“I’d like to see someone tell Jennifer Lopez to sit eight hours a day, seven days a week… no car. […] There is no door to privacy,” he wrote on his Instagram account.
“After 14 years of being told ‘no’ to what I wanted … it ruined me … but that’s not the worst part … the worst part was that my family locked me in this place for four months,” she said, referring to her confinement in a mental institution.
At one point, the singer continued his accusations by writing that his medication was “suddenly” switched to “medication” with lithium. In another post, she spoke about her struggle to remix her biggest hits and her distaste for the music industry, saying she was humiliated and made to feel worthless.
From 2008 to 2021, the now 40-year-old star’s personal and financial affairs were primarily under the protection of her father, Jamie Spears.
