If a new referendum were held, a national poll shows Britons would vote to return to the EU – by a large margin.
A YouGov poll, conducted more than eight years after the Brexit vote, shows that Public support for rejoining the EU in a new hypothetical referendum was 59%. 41 percent of voters said they would oppose rejoining the EU.
The poll also found strong public support for Increasingly closer relations between the UK and the EU. On the other hand, public opinion polls clearly show that voters do not believe the newly elected Labour government has the mandate to try to return to the EU.
