And the Barcelona players had to sweat a lot to get the set of points from Pamplona. The Spanish champion won 2-1, and Robert Lewandowski scored the decisive goal in the 85th minute from a penalty kick.
For Osasuna, the past few days have not been easy. The Pamplona team was close to qualifying for the group stage of the Europa League. In the end, Club Brugge turned out to be better.
In La Liga, the hosts had just one point less than Barcelona after three rounds. The Spanish champions have dropped two points so far this season. If they win, that’s what they lose against Real Madrid.
Selected Xavi players can score a goal in the first match of the match. Ilkay Gundogan’s shot hits the post. Robert Lewandowski improved, but he missed from five metres. It seemed that the goal would not have counted anyway, as the German had previously been offside.
The visitors gained the advantage from the start, as the hosts, who played in an experimental squad, looked for opportunities on the counter-attack. Gundogan should score in the tenth minute. The home defense was tight. The ball landed at the feet of the Barcelona player. He hit with the outside of his foot, but it was clear that he had gone past the ball.

After a tense start, the home side’s defense is starting to look much better. Barcelona struggled to create chances. Osasuna’s attempts seemed more dangerous. In the 23rd minute, Jose Arnaiz shot from a narrow angle, which Marc-Andre Ter Stegen instinctively saved. The ball bounced off the defender.
Nine minutes later, the hosts created another chance. After a neat move, Aimar Oroz’s shot from almost 11 metres, Ter Stegen saved Barcelona. However, the Osasuna player should aim better.
There wasn’t much for the guests to do. Lewandowski couldn’t do much for the match. And in the 33rd minute, “Lewi” got a yellow card after accidentally hitting the opponent’s face. Memories of November are flooding back. After all, the Pole was kicked out in Pamplona.
Not much happened at the end of the first half. Jules Conde’s shot was remarkable. An attempt from distance fell to Aitor Fernández.
It appears that no goals were scored before the end of the first half. But Barcelona beat it. And in the first minute of stoppage time, Conde came from a corner kick to Gundogan. The ball flew into the goal directly from the post.
In the second part, not much happened at the gates. The players did not create chances on goal and there were no shots. Jaffe suffered an ear injury in the 50th minute. There was blood, but the young Spaniard returned to the field. Nine minutes later, Joao Cancelo entered the field. The first appearance of this player was in the team of the champion of Spain.
After an hour of play, Robert Lewandowski got away with it. The pole trampled on the opponent, and the referee decided not to show our representative the second yellow card.
Osasuna gained the upper hand. The hosts hurried up and started looking for an equaliser. However, the visitors had their chance. And in the 71st minute, Lewandowski finally came out on the good side. Cancelo sent a cross, the Polish shot it from five meters away, Fernandez managed to stop it on the goal line.
Barcelona seemed to be in control of the situation on the field. Meanwhile, in the 76th minute, an equalizer was made. Ezequiel Avila ran the ball along the length of the penalty area, finally hitting the ball from about 18 metres. The ball bounced off the post and entered the goal.
The guests rushed to the attack. And Joao Felix appeared on the field. In the 82nd minute, the referee awarded a penalty kick to Barcelona. Alejandro Catena knocked Lewandowski down. The referee had no doubts. The victim himself approached the ball. But the referee did not allow the “eleven” to be executed and ran towards the screen. After a while, Katina, who had already known the yellow card, was expelled. “Lewi” remained calm and confidently took the penalty kick.
The weak landowners had nothing to defend themselves and tried to attack. Under Ter Stegen’s goal, it boiled over once, but without major consequences.
The referee added ten minutes to the second half. Osasuna could not equalize and Barcelona can enjoy three more points this season.
