The semi-final between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev was a rematch of the 2023 match at the same stage of the tournament. The Spaniard then won comfortably 6:3, 6:3, 6:3 and finally triumphed in the London event, where he won the final after a five-set battle with Novak Djokovic.

The Russian started the match with his serve and had big problems. He had to defend a break point that Alcaraz threw out. After several balances, Medvedev finally held the pass and started the match on top. The servers won the next two games easily, but the beginning of the match was tense and both players made a lot of unforced errors.
A shot into the net and two consecutive goals from Alcaraz gave the Russian player three break points. He used the first goal after another error by the Spaniard and increased the score to 3:1.
The next match started with Medvedev making several errors, which opened the way for Alcaraz to break serve. After defending break points and playing for balance, last year’s champion achieved his goal (3:2).
From the beginning of the match, the Spaniard’s first serve was very bad. He took risks on the second time, but it did not always pay off. He was quickly broken by his opponent again. During his pass, the Russian approached the net and was surprised by a good shot, but that did not prevent him from adding another game to his account and increasing the difference to 5:2.

The long rally that started the third game was won by the Russian who quickly scored the first game. However, the next time, it was broken by the defending champion, who also took advantage of his opponent’s mistakes and took a 2-1 lead. Shortly after, more mistakes by Medvedev made it easy for him to increase the score.
In the following games of this match, Alcaraz managed to advance to a break point only once, but his opponent defended himself. In turn, the Russian was unable to put his opponent against the wall neither in the second nor in the third set. The set, which had a very similar course to the previous one and therefore was quite equal, but at the same time focused on the superiority of the Spaniard, ended with his victory 6:4.

After the first game of the fourth match, it seemed that Medvedev was slowly saying goodbye to his dreams of reaching the final. At first, after playing a short advantage, he was broken by Alcaraz. In the seventh game, at 3:3, Alcaraz had a chance to break the Russian’s barrier. He made it easy for him by committing a double fault on the service. He managed to defend himself the first time, but the Spaniard did not waste the second opportunity.
