An email titled “On the Occasion of the 83rd Anniversary of Nazi Germany’s Attack on Poland” was sent to about 30 employees of the group’s parliamentary office. Its content was confirmed by the head of the SD office, Sami Al-Midal, who admitted that he was one of the recipients of the embarrassing correspondence.
According to Aftonbladet, the letter ends with an “invitation to have a cup of coffee with a large proportion of cardamom in the Parliament Café”.
– I have informed the employee that sending such messages is not acceptable. Al-Madal said he apologized and promised that it would not happen again.
The Swedish Democrats’ Press Service reported that “the employee received a written warning”.
“The writer also earlier called for coffee to be celebrated in a certain way, inter alia, the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
