About 400,000 vaccinations are being carried out per day in the near future, according to a document that reached Italian media. General Figliolo wrote in it, inter alia, about the need to use “all available means” in view of the current epidemiological situation.
The increased effort will be to speed up the vaccination campaign against COVID-19, also with the third dose. To date, it has been received by more than 6 million residents of Italy, or a tenth of the total population.
After two doses of the vaccine, 84 percent of the population is over the age of 12. This is one of the highest in Europe.
The Italian press also reported that more and more residents are registering for a booster dose of the vaccine. According to reporters, there are long queues at many vaccination points.
