CPK with permission to build a tunnel under Lodz

The construction of the long-distance CPK tunnel in Lodz for high-speed railway was divided into three stages. The contract for the implementation of these works was concluded with Budimex, amounting to approximately PLN 147 million. Works on Ritkinya are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. However, those near ŁKD will begin after the strengthening of the building's foundations is completed.

The tunnel exit to the surface is designed southwest of Łódź Kaliska, near the Retkinia estate and the existing railway line No. 14. Then the road will turn west – towards Siradz, and behind it there will be a crossroads towards Poznań and Wrocław.

CPK's investment in Łódź is part of the North Sea-Baltic Sea Corridor within the TEN-T core network, i.e. an element of the Trans-European communications route.
