Dave Bautista wants to star in more ambitious projects: ‘I don’t want Drax to be my legacy’

Dave Bautista admitted that although he loves Drax the Destroyer – a character from the Marvel universe, played by him, among others, in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” – he is glad that with the third part of the James Gunn scene he will end his adventure with this hero. By the way, he hoped that in the future he would be cast in more ambitious projects.

Dave Bautista on plans for the future

Dave Bautista talked about his plans for the future in an interview with GQ magazine. The actor admitted that while the role of Draks was not ambitious, playing the character was not a fun experience. It was difficult to play this role. The characterization blew me away – He said. I just don’t know if I want Drax to be my heritage – it’s silly business, and I’d like to do more serious stuff.

However, the actor indicated that choosing a new career direction had nothing to do with the pursuit of greater fame. Honestly, I don’t care – He said. I do not live a glamorous and luxurious life. Bautista has a special respect for Denis Villeneuve, who has cast him in Blade Runner 2049 and Dune. The actor will return to the role of Glossu Rabban Harkonnen in the sequel to the sci-fi spectacle. If I was number one on Dennis’ list, I’d play for free – He said.
