“When you meet President Duda in Davos, do not assume that he is speaking on behalf of Poland,” Politico wrote online. The portal included the Polish president's name among what it called the “Dirty Dozen” of the annual economic forum. Apart from Andrzej Duda, it also included, among others: Argentine President Javier Miley and Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
“The ‘Dirty Dozen’ from Davos,” Politico titled its commentary on the 54th World Economic Forum in Davos, a reference to the title of the famous film. Andrzej Duda is on the list of “bad boys” in Davos
“If you compare Polish President Andrzej Duda with some of the other people on this list, he doesn't seem like a good fit. He's not a dictator ruling a brutal oil state, he hasn't attacked his neighbors, and he hasn't even repressed himself.” Chainsaw on stage,” wrote the portal. However, after a moment, he explains the inclusion of the Polish President in the list – “Andrzej Duda is yesterday's man. As the last of the nationalist Law and Justice Party, which was ousted from office last year, he is sticking to his party. “He is doing everything he can to rein in Donald Tusk’s government, using his veto power and disappearing the convicted MPs,” he wrote, ending part of the relevant comment. On the Polish Head of State: “The bottom line: when you meet President Duda in Davos, do not assume that he speaks on behalf of Poland.”
We asked the Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland to comment on the Politico post, but did not receive a response as of the publication of this material.
