A 28-year-old motorcyclist was found late Saturday night in a ditch in Saint-Lambert-de-Lawson, south of Lewis.
At 11 o’clock in the night, Sarat du Quebec (SQ) patrols make a horrific discovery in a ditch on the edge of Rout Bellu (Route 171). The young man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The allowable limit was 90 km / h when the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and was on a curve before being ejected from his motorcycle.
The collision investigation patrol officer has come to shed light on the circumstances of the incident and the mechanical inspection of the vehicle will be carried out soon.
Hidden in the grass
On the same day that the remains of Dave Roy O’Connor, the victim in this case, were found, his relatives contacted authorities to report his disappearance because they had not heard from him for several hours.
In fact, the young man from Saint-Gilles died 30 to 48 hours before his discovery. His body and motorcycle were lying on the tall grass on the side of the road and were not visible from the road.
“Probably the motorcyclist was there from the night of the 24th to the night of the 25th, before being seen at night [de samedi]», Explains SQ spokesman Stephen Tremble.
For now, there is nothing to say that another vehicle is involved in this tragic story.
