The financial history of Lodz Airport is full of challenges. Owner of majority shares in the airport, The Łódź City Office has been covering the port’s losses for years, which average 30-50 million PLN per year. So the city has been trying for three years to get rid of most of its shares in the airport. If the Łódź Airport management plans succeed, the airport has a chance to overtake other airports in the ranking, such as Bydgoszcz, Lublin or Szczecin.
