The film divided audiences when it was released in theaters, and to this day, the mention of its title in conversation is enough to spark a heated discussion and ruin your evening. Production star Jennifer Lawrence revealed in a recent interview whether she understood the movie.

Jennifer Lawrence appeared on Watch What Happens Live where host Andy Cohen asked her: On a scale of one to completely confused, how well do you understand your movie “Mom!”?

I will be honestreplied the actress. Well, I slept with the director, so I had a cheat sheet. So… 5? or 4. But if someone needs advice on understanding the movie, you know what to do.

Lawrence is, of course, hinting at his relationship with director Darren Aronofsky. The couple dated during the production of the movie, which premiered in 2017.

We can currently see Lawrence in the comedy No Hard Feelings.

Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem live a seemingly idyllic life in a secluded paradise. However, their relationship is tested when a man (Ed Harris) and a woman (Michelle Pfeiffer) show up, uninvited, at their home. Responding to the knock on the door will break the peaceful coexistence of both. But more guests will knock on the door. Mommy will have to check everything she knows about love, devotion, and sacrifice.
