Eintracht deceived Frankfurt to keep Philip Kostic in his ranks.
The hottest day of the transfer window did not go unnoticed. At least that’s what Gianluca Di Marzio says. According to the Italian journalist, Eintracht Frankfurt used a ploy to keep a key player in their ranks.
Filip Kostic – because we’re talking about him – has been linked with a move to Lazio for a long time. The club from the Italian capital was supposed to close the deal on the last day of the window. But in the end, the Serb did not join the team from the Eternal City, which prepared a special place for the non-EU player.
So what stopped the 28-year-old from changing the club’s colors? Originally, the media blamed the Romans, stating that it was their fault. You can find information on the Internet that the authorities sent an offer to the wrong email address.
This information has been corrected by DiMarzio. A respected journalist revealed that Eintracht was involved in the whole case. According to him, the German club deliberately sent the wrong email address to Italy, and then informed the Serbian player that the Romans were not interested in him.
– The German club used all means to stop Kostik. Even “difficult” – wrote Gianluca Di Marzio.
However, the circumstances of this situation were completely different. The Lazio authorities were willing to pay 10 million euros in addition to bonuses to Kostik. In turn – it turns out – the Frankfurt-based club did not have to get rid of the player.
It seems that the football player himself knew about this fraud. The Germans’ ploy was to be discovered by his agent, and Ramadan.
