Elden Ring gives no chance to compete in 2022. Show smashes Game of the Year awards

The Elden Ring has been named Game of the Year by The Game Awards 2022 jury and it is continuing to storm. FromSoftware’s work doesn’t give other titles from the digital entertainment industry a chance this year.

2022 has been completely dominated by Hidetaka Miyazaki’s team. Already, 149 gaming websites and editorial offices have named The Elden Ring as the best game in the last 12 months.

FromSoftware’s work gives almost no chance to other novelties from 2022. God of War has just 28 Game of the Year awards. An even larger gap separates the other productions from this year. Immortality has won four GOTY Awards and three Pentiment Awards.

Game of the Year titles from game websites/editors:

  • Elden Ring – 149
  • God of War Ragnarok – 32
  • immortality – 4
  • quintet – 3
  • Sleeping citizen – 2
  • A Plague Tale Requiem – 1
  • Aries worship – 1
  • Just Dance 2023 – 1
  • The King of Fighters XV – 1
  • Marvel’s Midnight Suns – 1
  • Neon White – 1
  • Norco – 1
  • Power Wash Simulator – 1
  • Elite sniper 5 – 1
  • Twink – 1
  • Vampire survivors – 1
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – 1

Last year, It Takes Two (84) won the most GOTY titles and in 2020, The Last of Us Part II (303).
