Electricity prices. Tariffs change as of July 1

The Office for Energy Regulation (URE) added that regulations keeping prices frozen remain in place, so households will pay PLN 500 per MWh network. The tariffs for five vendors will be valid until the end of 2025.

“The approved tariffs are the result of the Authority’s dialogue with each of the vendors, which continues until the Head of the Energy Regulatory Office is sure that the final approved tariff level is compatible with current market conditions and reflects the costs justified for the entrepreneurs’ activities,” explained the Head of the Energy Regulatory Office, Rafai Jawin, In the ad.

The Energy Regulatory Bureau’s de facto decision means that The tariffs are lower than those in effect in the first half of the year and amounted to PLN 739.3 per megawatt hour. It is also lower than that recorded in 2023, when it reached PLN 1,076.7.

The company announced that the Energy Regulatory Office tariffs will result in approximately PLN 216 million in EBITDA losses when selling electricity by Tauron companies in the second half of 2024.

However, assuming no legislative changes in this area, commercial companies estimate that the loss of selling electricity to customers of tariff groups G will be fully compensated in revenues obtained in 2025 from this group of customers.
