“In theory, energy performance certificates should give users knowledge of the electricity and heating bills they can expect. The problem is that those offered in bulk online, without seeing the building, are of little value. The Ministry of Development and Technology is aware of this, which is why it wants to issue a new regulation regulating the rules for preparing these documents.“- DGP reports.

According to the proposed regulation, new energy certificates will be issued after on-site inspection or remote inspection via communication means that allow visual inspection.
“It is outrageous that instead of supporting those who take their work seriously, the ministry is promoting a solution that is worse than the current one,” commented Maciej Soroka, head of the DGP Energy Certification and Auditing Association.
