Even the producers don’t want it, but the law requires it. Article 60 is clear, the police take evidence.

  • After all, I’m driving legally – this argument never works with the police, because you don’t always have to be driving illegally to break the law.

  • Drivers who are not fully aware of the law may pay a fine and lose their registration certificate.

  • The maximum fine for this crime can be staggering.

License plates are an essential element to be able to move freely on the roads. This is the case all over the world, although in some regions it is allowed to travel without prior registration. In Poland, “two pages” are mandatory equipment for a car and there are no exceptions to this.

Even manufacturers don’t like license plates.

However, often, for aesthetic reasons, car owners do not wear them or instead of the one received at the office, they stick a small sticker with the numbers assigned to the car. This is because some cars do not have space for license plates in the front, and there may be parts of the body below that the driver wants to show. A great example of this is Alfa Romeo, whose cars usually have space for the license plate on the left side. This is because it would cover the distinctive grille in the middle, a very important element in the style of the Italian car. There, you can see that there is a place for the license plate because it should be there, but the designers prefer not to put it at all.
