Familiar face on a Russian poster. Netizens stare – O2

The Russian army is short of supplies, weapons and soldiers. After Vladimir Putin announced a “partial” mobilization, many people tried to avoid conscription. Therefore, Russian propaganda decided to resort to rather abrupt measures.

On Monday, November 28, Ukrainian journalist Volodymyr Zolkin posted on social media a photo of a billboard that can be found in Russia. Citizens are encouraged to join the army. However, the face on the label may come as a surprise.

Russia. The American actress is attracting new recruits

The image of Sasha Gray, a former American adult film actress, was used to promote the Russian army. A world famous star in Russian costume smiles from behind a desk. The poster is to encourage people to join the army.

Contract service is a good choice, says the label.

The exact location of the bulletin board is unknown. However, potential recruits may read that if they have any problems joining the military, they should turn to the local WKU chapter.

They suggest that serving in the army guarantees a “pass” – Volodymyr Zolkin assesses it under the photo.

Russians love to use Sasha Gray. Another such case

This is not the first time that Russians have used this actress for propaganda purposes. After the annexation of Crimea in 2015, social media in Russia circulated a picture showing the American adult film star working as a military nurse. The entry stated that she had died while fighting in the Donbass at the hands of “Ukrainian oppressors”.
