“Fast and the Furious 10”. The family is growing. Dominic Toretto will meet his grandmother
One of Latin America’s greatest movie stars, Rita Moreno, has joined the Fast and Furious family. In the movie Fast X, she will play Grandma Dominica Toretto, performed, of course, by Vin Diesel.

“Fast X” – what do we know about the movie?

The plot of the final installment in the series remains, of course, a mystery. However, we know old friends will be back on camera: Vin Diesel, Therese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Song Kang, and Scott Eastwood. New faces will include Alan Richson, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson and Daniela Melchior.

After Justin Lin resigns as director, Louis Letterer will be in charge of the project. The French have a rich Hollywood experience. His biggest box office hits were “Clash of the Titans” ($493 million) and “Illusion” ($342 million). He also has a comic book show “Incredible Hulk” to his credit. His latest project is the crime comedy “Nieobliczalni 2”, which is distributed by Netflix.

Rita Moreno – “West Side Story” star and more

Born in Puerto Rican Rosa Dolores Alverio Marcano Rita Moreno, she is one of the greatest Latina actresses in history. It belongs to a small group of EGOT, that is, creators who have won four important awards in the American entertainment industry: Emmy, Grammy, Oscars and Tony. She is also one of 24 people to have won a Triple Acting Award (Oscar, Emmy, Tony). Next to Helen Hayes, she is the only actress who can boast of being an EGOT and an acting award winner.

In 1961, she starred as Anita in West Side Story. This role earned her an Academy Award for supporting actress. In the 1970s, she won a Tony (in 1975 for her role in “The Ritz”), a Grammy (in 1973 for a children’s album “The Electric Company”) and two Emmys (in 1977 for her participation in “The Muppets”) and a year later for his role in Series “The Rockford Files”).
